If students are uncertain about time commitment expectations in their Bootcamp, please see the below information.
From the start date of the course, students must commit to:
a) In the first 14 days of your bootcamp, you will be required to attend - live - any combination of 10 hours worth of 1:1 mentor calls, live lectures, and onboarding webinars. If you are admitted, we will give you as much notice as possible of these sessions so you can schedule them accordingly.
b) In further weeks of your bootcamp, you will have more flexibility on the attendance of these sessions but will be required to attend a total of 112 hours of a combination of mentor calls, live lectures, career support sessions, and onboarding webinars in the 16 weeks."
We understand that it can be challenging to do these Bootcamps if students are working full time. We have designed this course very systematically, so the further ahead students get with the tasks, the more challenging it becomes. There will be times when students will need to research, as this is all part of studying and learning. However, we have made tutorial videos, supplementary lectures, and mentor calls to assist with their studying.
Students must record an invite to interview for a new role (or information on progress towards getting new work contracts if self-employed) within 20 weeks of your Cohort start date or 30 March 2024 (whichever comes first). The new role should be related to their Bootcamp, should be at least a 12-week long paid position, and can be an apprenticeship. Students must record an offer for a new role in tech or new work contracts obtained (if self-employed) within 30 weeks of their start date.
As such, this Skills Bootcamp is designed specifically to fill urgent tech skills gaps in the UK and students may find that if their goal is to upskill or stay in their current role for longer than 30 weeks from the start date of the Skills Bootcamp, one of our non-Skills Bootcamps programs may be more suitable for their goals.
